Tell us about yourself
Everything, everywhere, and all at once. From movement to stillness, the norm to the supernatural, fear to ecstasy, I am fascinated by the dual nature of everything. I am a Margate based multidisciplinary artist, with a strong focus on large scale paintings, both indoors and outside. The work can be described as both figurative and socially surreal.
Somebody once asked me to name one thing I am passionate about, and would like to change for the world. My response was to enter everything from a non-hierarchy point, to not look up to, or down on anything.
What excites you about being part of the ARTCRY panel?
I am thrilled to be a part of the panel, collaborating with other creative minds to identify the most effective applications for our society at present. As we all hold unique values and perspectives, I’m eager to exercise compromise and respect for others’ viewpoints in order to reach a unified decision
What components would your dream application have?
One of my core values is equality, so my ideal application would prioritise this principle. Additionally, I would like to see freedom of movement and a non-hierarchical structure that extends not only to humans but also to the natural world we inhabit.
The Steering Committee
The company directors and panel are involved on an individual capacity, not representing their organisations and on a voluntary basis.
If you are interested in joining the panel in future please email Kathryn Bilyard on kathryn@artcry.co.uk with some information about yourself and why you are interested.
