Award 23: London vs Elon

A one of a kind art piece where you can - safely & legally - smash the utter f**k out of a Tesla.

Billionaire interference in politics serves to distract from wealth inequality through scapegoating vulnerable groups. Our grantee London Vs Elon aims to make this hidden dynamic more visible by mass creation of a visual symbol of public rejection of fascism and oligarch influence over our democratic processes.

In this event in April 2025 the public joined in to smash a Tesla car to pieces in a piece of art which released rage and utterly rejects facism. The car was then crushed and auctioned off to raise funds for foodbanks in the UK. Because there are more food banks than ever before in the UK and more billionaires too and these things are connected.

DISCLAIMER: This was a legal, safely controlled event. We do NOT endorse smashing up any other vehicles. That would be illegal and also incredibly daft and probably hurtful. You'd hope that would go without saying, but just incase.

What a waste you say - don't worry, this car was already heading to scrap and was donated and diverted for a short while to make this work happen.

Everyone Hate Elon is continuing this work - follow them here.
